Crews responded to the Aspen Grove complex around 3 a.m. Wednesday, where a first-floor unit had caught fire, the Hartsville Fire Company said.

Warminster police evacuated the units as a trapped man freed himself, and firefighters escorted a family out, the Warminster Fire Department said.

The blaze was under control in approximately 30 minutes, but by then the blaze had ravaged the complex, fire officials said.

Responders included the Warminster Fire Department, Warminster Township Police Department, Hartsville Fire Company, Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro, Willow Grove Volunteer Fire Company, Southampton Fire Company No. 1, Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Company and Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services.

Horsham Fire Company and Warrington Fire Co. #1 provided firefighting coverage to Warminster Township while crews were committed on scene.
